Hickory
Chesapeake’s newer western neighborhoods have more recently built homes, but many were insulated to bare minimum standards. Homeowners here are often surprised to find that their newer home is the reason their energy bill is high.
South Norfolk and Portlock
These older, tightly-built neighborhoods have housing stock that goes back to the early and mid-20th century. Some of these homes have original insulation — or none at all. The improvements we make here are some of the most dramatic in Chesapeake.

Great Bridge
One of Chesapeake’s most established neighborhoods, Great Bridge has a mix of homes built from the 1960s through the 1990s. These homes often have original insulation that has settled and compressed over the decades. We see a lot of attics here where the insulation depth has dropped to half of what it needs to be.
Deep Creek
The waterway influence is strong in Deep Creek. Moisture from the canal system works its way into homes that aren’t properly sealed. Crawl space insulation is often the first thing we address here, followed by attic upgrades.
Greenbrier
This busy corridor has a mix of townhomes and single-family homes, many built in the 1980s and 90s. Greenbrier homes tend to have older fiberglass batt insulation that’s due for a replacement. We find gaps around HVAC penetrations and recessed lights that are quietly leaking air every day.
