Neighborhoods We Serve in Suffolk
Chuckatuck
This rural community on the western edge of Suffolk has older homes on large lots that deal with extreme temperature exposure. Without nearby neighbors to buffer the wind, these homes lose heat fast in winter and absorb it fast in summer. We work in Chuckatuck and understand what’s needed for rural properties.
Isle of Wight County line area
Homes on Suffolk’s rural fringes often have the least insulation and the highest energy bills per square foot. We cover these areas within our 50-mile service radius and bring the same quality standards regardless of zip code.
Harbour View
The fastest-growing part of Suffolk, Harbour View has seen massive residential development over the past 20 years. Newer construction dominates here, but “new” doesn’t always mean “well-insulated.” We work in Harbour View regularly on homes less than 15 years old where the insulation never met a proper standard. Homeowners here are often surprised to learn that a new house can have the same energy problems as an old one.
Historic Downtown Suffolk
The older neighborhoods around downtown Suffolk have housing stock that dates back to the 1800s and early 1900s. These homes were built with no insulation standards, and many have gone through multiple owners without anyone addressing the thermal envelope. We take a careful approach here, improving performance while respecting the character of older construction.
Hillpoint and Westhaven
These established suburban neighborhoods have a mix of 1980s and 90s homes at the age where original insulation is failing. Settled, compressed, or moisture-damaged insulation is common here, and so are the high energy bills that come with it.
